MACTE-accreditation

The Early Childhood, Elementary I, Elementary I-II, and School Leadership certificates are accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE). Please visit MACTE’s website at http://www.macte.org/ for additional information.

1. What is the weekly time commitment, and are the courses fully self-paced?

Answer: Courses are asynchronous and designed to fit busy schedules, allowing you to access lectures, forums, and materials anytime. Most students spend 7-10 hours per week per course on video lectures, readings, and practical assignments like lesson planning and observed practice.

3. Do you accept third-party payments or direct invoicing for sponsored staff tuition?

Answer: Yes. We routinely partner with schools to handle billing directly. If your school is sponsoring a teacher’s tuition or registration fees, we can issue invoices directly to the administrative office and assist with payment arrangements or employee reimbursement receipts.

2. How do observed practice and hands-on assignments work in an online format?

Answer: You will complete hands-on work—such as making materials, writing essays, and planning lessons—and submit recorded video demonstrations or documentation of your practice. Faculty and master educators review your submissions asynchronously to provide personalized feedback and guidance.

5. Can students enroll in multiple courses at once to accelerate their completion date?

Answer: Yes, qualified students may take two courses simultaneously. Doubling your course load doubles your weekly time commitment (roughly 14–20 hours per week), but it lets you finish your diploma requirements and graduate much faster.

6: Have a question not answered here?
