What We Do
Montessori Live provides a radically innovative training service for a traditionally anti-technology industry. Due to the traditions of the Montessori certification process being seen by accreditation programs as only being effective if the learning is done in person we’ve seen a decline in the amount of certified Montessori educators throughout the world.
It’s our mission to be educator focused by providing the most convenient and affordable training program online. This is all made possible because of the progressive and forward thinking minds at MACTE.
Our Story
In 2006, Dr. Kym Elder saw a need when she was the Head of School of Island Village Montessori Charter School. She was able to find plenty of passionate educators to hire, but these passionate educators were unable to get their Montessori certification due to the high upfront tuition cost and the inconvenience of having to spend months physically on a training campus away from their families.
As a result, she founded one of the first MACTE accredited online certification training programs in the world, and converted the campus she founded into the first training facility for residencies.
