LNCE: Correct Expression, Handwriting, Whole Language is a 7-week, graduate-level course offered by Montessori Live for educators working with children ages 3 to 7. The curriculum guides young learners through the natural progression of oral communication, early handwriting, and literacy within the Montessori framework.
Throughout the course, teacher trainees explore the core philosophy, scope, and sequence of the Montessori language curriculum. Key areas of focus include fostering oral expression and introducing foundational handwriting using hands-on Montessori materials such as Metal Insets and Sandpaper Letters. The course also integrates whole-language techniques to support cross-curricular reading instruction.
Students learn through practical video demonstrations featuring an educator teaching age-appropriate students in a real-world learning environment. Applicable across Early Childhood (EC) and Elementary I (EI) programs, this course equips educators with actionable strategies to guide children toward fluent communication, precise handwriting, and early literacy skills.
