MTAL: Mathematics – Decimals & Introduction to Algebra 7 weeks

This course covers presentations of the Montessori materials of decimals, percentages, and introduces algebra with presentations on squaring.

Summary

The course introduces algebraic equalities to young children through Henry Borenson’s materials called Hands-On-Equations. Video lectures on the philosophy and scope and sequence of the Montessori mathematics curriculum are repeated. The student/educator video is designed to give the viewer a sense of how the lesson is presented in an actual Learning Environment with age-appropriate students.

Course Length: 7 Weeks

Age Focus: 6 – 12 Years

Educational Level of Course: Graduate
