Summary

Our Elementary II Montessori Certification Program (EII) is approved for accreditation by MACTE. To be considered as an accredited Montessori educator for ages 9 to 12 years a participant must complete the following:

  • The Online Component
  • One In-Person Residency
    • Summer Residency – (14 days) (RESS-EII)

If a participant already has an Elementary I (ages 6-9) credential from an approved MACTE accredited program and wants to transfer credits from another training program to our program, a complete transcript must be part of the application documents submitted to Montessori Live. At that time, credits transferring from other programs will be determined on an individual basis. Participants must take at least three (3) online courses through Montessori Live and participate in the Elementary II Summer Residency.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Steps to Enroll

  1. Submit transcripts of a bachelor’s degree
  2. Hold a 6-9 Montessori certification diploma from a qualified program and provide transcripts of specific hours of face-to-face and online instruction that include the number of teaching hours accumulated during the practicum, as well as the dates the practicum was completed.
  3. Complete the online application
  4. Meet all admission requirements
  5. Provide evidence of ability to practice in a 9-12 age Montessori environment
