CEHS: Cultural Studies 7 weeks
This cultural course presents the Story of Life, including the Timeline of Earth History and the Timeline of Life, the Kingdoms of Life that introduce scientific classification and nomenclature, the study of Physical and Political Geography, Imaginary Island studies, and the Timeline of Humans.

Summary
Students will see video presentations of an educator working with a student on various Montessori cultural materials. The student/ educator video is designed to give the viewer a sense of how the lesson is presented in an actual Learning Environment with age-appropriate students. An accompanying video analyzes the lesson in a discussion format, giving important information on how to present the lesson, how the lesson fits in with the language scope and sequence, what materials are needed, as well as direct and indirect aims of the lesson content. Students will be expected to create materials to supplement the curriculum studied throughout the course.
